村のダンスパーティが近所のおうちで開かれてた。
いきなり誰かがドンッとぶつかって「きゃ、ごめんなさい！」だって。
そしたら目の前には水玉模様とお月様の光に包まれた
鼻がちょっと上向いたおんなの子がいたんだ。
そのうち音楽が始まったんで、ちょっとドキドキしたんだけど
息を止めてから尋ねたんだ、「踊ってもらえますか？」って。
おっかなびっくりの僕の腕の中には、なんと水玉模様と
お月様の光が、ちょっと上を向いた鼻を照らしてた。
なになに？どうしたの？ほかのダンサーたちの視線を浴びながら
僕たちはフロアのうえを、踊りながら浮遊した。
クエスチョンマークが飛び交うなか、僕の心はすでに答えを知っていた
そしてたぶん、それ以上のこともね。
いまこうやって、ライラックと笑いに満ち溢れた小さなおうちで
実感できるよ、「ずっと幸せに暮らしましたとさ」ていう決まり文句。
そしていつもあのときの水玉模様とお月様を思い出すんだ
